The original medium jumbo frets are extremely clean with only a touch of wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-3, playing well up the neck with no buzzing or dead spots. The smooth gloss finish on the profile feels great on the palm, and the bound rosewood fretboard features pearl trapezoid inlay. The neck has a notably slender and fast C shaped profile with consistent depth as you travel up the fretboard. The guitar is featherweight at only 6lbs 4oz. Whether you want articulate cleans or thick overdrive, these pickups can produce either with ease and with a refinement far beyond most other modern Casino reissues. These pickups are wound to vintage spec with plenty of mid-range bark, and a glassy, percussive quality. Acoustically, the fully hollow all-maple body has a smooth, bright tone which works well with the original pair of P-90 pickups. Produced in Japan at the Terada factory and featuring a very warm and unique two-tone sunburst finish, this is an uncommon and early Epiphone reissue which preceded the current "Elitist" line. Presenting a 1987 Epiphone Casino in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order.
